HiX supports the first, second, and third level obstetric healthcare with one integrated EHR in which the entire process from intake to parturition and post check-up is guaranteed using intelligent and efficient inspection and registration options.
Obstetrics in HiX
For the intake, pregnancy checks, and parturition, HiX provides tools to efficiently support the midwife/gynaecologist. In this way all relevant information such as the calculated date, allergies, lab data and obstetric data is made visible on the pregnancy sheet and on the cover page of the patient file during check-ups.
Integrated CTG
In addition, HiX offers an integrated CTG-functionality by which the pregnant woman and her fetus or fetuses are monitored during pregnancy and parturition. From this integrated CTG functionality, the healthcare providers have access to all other file data, such as pregnancy cards, medication and results, and they have the option to register events.
PRN and PERIDOS
The complete PRN data set is woven into HiX; the data relevant for PRN are recorded by HiX during the entire pregnancy as part of the work process, and is automatically collected by HiX and pre-filled in the delivery form. Also the delivery of PWD [Dutch: Perinataal Web-based Dossier] priority messages to hospitals is integrated in HiX and the same applies for the delivery of PERIDOS.
Decision support
HiX provides various tools to optimally support the midwife. WIth the help of various intelligent registration forms, follow-up steps can be proposed based on decision rules. For example, automatic presentation of the VMIS step-by-step plan when a positive answer is given to whether the pregnant patient smokes. In this way HiX helps the midwife to stop the pregnant woman smoking as soon as possible.
Pregnancy sheet
At every check-up, use is made of a pregnancy sheet whereby - if possible - data is reused and an overview of the previous check-ups is shown. HiX also supports the conclusion and policy recorded in the pregnancy sheet by displaying the key data on the cover page. This data is for every individual - regardless of the "care path" followed - immediately in view without having to open the pregnancy sheet. If the midwife does want to open the pregnancy sheet, it can be easily filtered by first, second, and third level registrations.
Role-based view
HiX offers a specific view of the EPD for each speciality and every role. Thus, every treating physician has a direct and relevant image of the patient without them having to actively look for information.

Innovative tools
HiX provides health care providers with innovative tools, such as quick texts and the offering of "care questions" that show the right information based on the patient's complaint. In addition, HiX offers a structure to record information in the right way, so that the information is easy to filter.
Handy reuse
Once data are logged, they can be easily shared with other providers and reused. Consider intoxications, allergies, treatment limitations and measurements. When recording the pregnancy data, for instance, the corresponding DBC [Dutch: Diagnose Behandeling Combinatie] is automatically proposed. This is a good example of how HiX helps reduce the administrative load for doctors.
Performance indicators
By logging data in a structured way, they are also available for providing performance indicators or management information (in Dutch). In addition, it provides for optimal support of the health care record keeping.
Guidelines
HiX supports international guidelines, whereby the doctor is always offered the right choices during data entry, with the logical following step. Consider specific score lists or the treatment policy based on these guidelines.
E-health
via eHealth, HiX offers various ways by which the healthcare process can be further supported. Thus, health care providers can look at the EPD and fill it in at home or on the go. Via their own online portal, patients have access to questionnaires, eConsults and informational material about their illness or condition. They can also maintain their online diary. They can use a PC, but also their smartphone, tablet or laptop.
