HiX supports all employees and processes involved in a patient's registration into the waiting list. Every involved employee has the relevant information and useful tools to minimize the stress of doing waiting list registrations.
Waiting list registration in HiX
When requesting a surgeon or a non-invasive specialist for an admission and / or an operation, HiX automatically creates a (clinical) waiting list registration. It is immediately available to the planners after the request has been submitted by the specialist. The planners have a waiting list functionality for the admissions for surgery as well as for the admissions for non-invasive specialisms.
Planner overview
For surgical admissions, the planners can see an overview screen showing the available operating sessions distributed according to specialism or specialist, the planned operations per operating sessions, and a waiting list that is updated along with the admissions and operations for the selected specialism.
Relevant information
The waiting list holds relevant information that has already been entered by the requesting specialist and anaesthesiologist. This includes all information about the procedure, the urgency, the needed resources, the admission, the operator, and the status of the preoperative screening. Also patient characteristics such as birth date, sex, and allergies are available here.
Filters
As part of the waiting list functionality, planners can run filters. This might include a filter for a "screening approval" or a filter based on location or urgency. In this way operations and admissions can be planned as efficiently as possible.
